Empathetic by nature, James has completed his studies in Live Sound and Event Production and Audio Engineering and now looks to turn his attention to building a career in Community Support – be it in the Mental Health field or working with vulnerable youth. James has Full drivers licence – class 1.
Liana is currently working as a casual reliever in a childcare centre and also volunteers within the Girl Guide Association where she is a leader for both Brownies and Girl Guides. Through this experience she has been able to actively engage with young people and effectively plan and facilitate appropriate learning programmes for those in her care. Liana aspires to be working with youth in a support role where she can have a positive influence on others such as fulfilling a role as a teacher aide, youth support worker or as a supervisor in after school care and holiday programmes.
Rachel’s aspiration is to start a career in child care. She has done some work volunteering for a local child-care centre, in animal care and customer-service at Orana Park and at a riding school. She has also worked as a house cleaner. She’s friendly and reliable and keen to get any work in childcare.
A trained nurse from Africa, Abiyot moved to NZ with his family. Although he is ideally looking for work where he can use his nursing skills, he would like work in a factory or processing plant where he can gain a work history within NZ. He is a reliable family man, who is very keen to work.
